Terms of Service
Effective Date:
Welcome to CampusBudget.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of CampusBudget, available at campus-budget.com (the "Service").
By creating an account or using CampusBudget, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About CampusBudget
CampusBudget is a personal budgeting and financial organization platform designed primarily for college students.
Depending on your plan and available features, CampusBudget may allow you to create budgets, record transactions, track spending, manage savings goals, monitor upcoming expenses, and connect supported financial accounts.
Features may be added, changed, or discontinued over time, subject to applicable law.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.
You agree to provide accurate registration information and maintain the security of your account.
The current account creation process requires verification of a college email address ending in .edu. Email verification does not verify your age or independently establish enrollment. Certain student-specific benefits or features may require additional verification of student eligibility.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and notifying CampusBudget of suspected unauthorized account access.
You may not access another person's account without authorization, misrepresent your identity, or interfere with the security or operation of the Service.
4. Financial Information Disclaimer
CampusBudget is a budgeting and financial organization tool.
CampusBudget is not a bank, credit union, investment adviser, or financial institution and does not provide individualized financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
Budget calculations, transaction summaries, balances, and other financial information are provided for informational purposes.
Information may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate because of manual entries, synchronization delays, financial institution limitations, or technical errors.
You are responsible for verifying important financial information directly with your financial institution before making financial decisions.
5. Connected Financial Accounts
CampusBudget may allow users to connect supported financial institutions through Plaid.
By connecting an account, you represent that you are authorized to access that account and grant the permissions necessary for the requested functionality.
Financial connections depend on third-party providers and institutions. CampusBudget does not guarantee uninterrupted synchronization, complete transaction coverage, or compatibility with every financial institution.
You may manage supported financial connections through the Service.
6. Free and Plus Subscriptions
CampusBudget offers Free and Plus plans, subject to the features and availability described on its pricing page.
The Free plan provides supported manual budgeting functionality.
CampusBudget Plus may provide automatic bank synchronization and other premium features.
The applicable price, billing interval, included features, and any taxes will be displayed before a paid subscription is purchased.
7. Billing and Cancellation
If you purchase CampusBudget Plus, you authorize the applicable payment processor to charge your selected payment method according to the terms disclosed at checkout.
Recurring subscriptions renew according to the billing interval presented during purchase until canceled.
You can cancel through the available subscription management process.
The effective date of cancellation, continued access to paid features, and refund eligibility are determined by the terms disclosed at checkout and applicable law.
Any pricing changes affecting existing subscribers will be communicated as required by law.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use CampusBudget for unlawful or fraudulent activities.
- Access another user's information without permission.
- Attempt to bypass authentication or security controls.

We may suspend or restrict accounts when reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, investigate security incidents, or enforce these Terms.
9. User-Provided Information
You retain ownership of the financial records and other content you provide.
You grant CampusBudget a limited permission to store, process, and display that information as necessary to operate the Service and provide its features.
You are responsible for the accuracy of manually entered information.
10. Intellectual Property
The CampusBudget name, branding, software, interface, and original content are owned by CampusBudget or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

12. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable Service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation.
Maintenance, outages, financial institution restrictions, or technical issues may temporarily affect availability.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CampusBudget is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CampusBudget and its operators are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
This provision does not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
15. Account Termination
You may stop using CampusBudget and request account deletion through supported account controls or by contacting support.
